09/18 – ANGELS IN AMERICA (Part 2): PERESTROIKA

09/15/2012

Play Clubbers!  Tuesday, 09/18 at 7:00pm, please join us for part two of our reading of “Angels in America: Part Two – Perestroika”

In Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, set in 1980s New York City, a gay man is abandoned by his lover when he contracts the AIDS virus, and a closeted Mormon lawyer’s marriage to his pill-popping wife stalls. Other characters include the infamous McCarthy-ite lawyer Roy Cohn, Ethel Rosenberg, a former drag queen who works as a nurse, and an angel.

“Angels in America: Part 2 – Perestroika”  takes place Tuesday 9/18 at 7:00pm at J.E.T. Studios in the Hagen Studio at 5126 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood.

There is metered parking on Lankershim and Magnolia, and after 6:00pm, the meters are FREE. There is a parking structure across from J.E.T. that costs $8, as well as valet parking at numerous restaurants and bars on Magnolia for $5 (Brickyard Pub, Bow & Truss both do valet). You can also find free residential parking on most of the side streets in NoHo. We are also a few blocks down the street from the Metro Red Line (at Lankershim & Chandler).
