4/18 Postcards from the Edge

This Tuesday, APRIL 18th, we will be reading the screenplay POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE by Carrie Fisher.

Based on Carrie Fisher’s 1987 semi-autobiographical novel, “Postcards from the Edge” is a comedy-drama film about a once-promising actress Suzanne Vale (Meryl Streep) whose career has been derailed by drug addiction. After a stint in rehab, she is forced to live with her larger-than-life movie star mother, Doris Mann (Shirley MacLaine), in order to continue acting. Each scene is a battle between mother and daughter who drive each other crazy but ultimately love one another.
